Global Silent Minute on December 21st

Three groups from Australia and USA have launched a call for the Solstice (the start of the Festival Week) to be observed globally with a Silent Minute at 9 pm GMT preceded by the ringing of bells.

  • Sydney Goodwill Unit of Service, Australia
  • The Hill Centre, USA
  • Cygnet Centre for Peacebuilding & Transformation

There has been a great deal of interest and momentum is building towards a global observation of the Silent Minute to be observed at the same time: 9 pm GMT, calibrated to local time zones.
