About: The New Group of World Servers

A new world story is unfolding – the rise to the fore of a group hero, called The New Group of World Servers in Alice Bailey’s writings.  This group is comprised of the growing number of people who, though not yet liberated from the conflict of the human condition, are awake to the divine side of their nature.  Each seeks to serve in some problematic area of human endeavor.

To many of us the very name `the new group of world servers' is one that has become so familiar that we have to be careful not to underestimate the vital role it is playing in preparing the way for the reappearance of the Christ.

In 1953 Foster Bailey, Alice Bailey’s husband, wrote of the rhythms in the life of the New Group of World Servers, and of the way in which these subtle rhythms influenced Lucis Trust’s planning of meditative and educational initiatives in support of the Group.

The New Group of World Servers is a functioning active group.  Every man and woman in every country, who is working to heal the breaches between people, to evoke the sense of brotherhood, to foster the sense of mutual inter-relation, … is a member of the New Group of World Servers, even if  they have never heard of it.
