Three groups from Australia and USA have launched a call for the Solstice (the start of the Festival Week) to be observed globally with a Silent Minute at 9 pm GMT preceded by the ringing of bells.
There has been a great deal of interest and momentum is building towards a global observation of the Silent Minute to be observed at the same time: 9 pm GMT, calibrated to local time zones. Resources, including cards and bookmarks with the local time are now available in 11 languages to help publicize the event. Information is available in 11 languages to help publicize the event. Bookmarks and cards can be printed with the local time.
